Global Server Rules

These rules can be added to at any given time. Staff may punish for what is not listed if deemed necessary.

CHAT RULES

Remain Respectful. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Being disrespectful covers a plethora of common rules. For example, hate speech, discrimination harassment, or directly swearing at another player, etc. We have 0 tolerance for bullying as well. If a player ask you to leave them alone, or leave their claim, do so without a second thought.
Do not uglify chat. Refrain from spamming and making our public chat(s) ugly. For example, do not repetitively post the same/similar message more than 3 times within a short time span. Spamming will also cover the spamming of characters, words, and spaces. Overall, be respectful and understand that public chats are viewed by everyone.
Do not advertise. Advertising covers links, social medias, and other server IPs. Ethereal Haven wasn't created as a server to advertise yours within, refrain from doing so.
Listen to Staff. Ensure you follow staff prompts. They're here to keep the server safe and fun, do not make their lives harder than it needs to be.
Do not discuss punishments. Punishments are not to be discussed in public. Punishments include Mutes, Kicks and Bans. This also includes how a punishment was dealt, alongside why. Staff have final say in all server related matters. However, if a punished member finds a way to discuss their punishment in chat, staff are free to provide any relevant information. Such as but not limited to, video evidence of why they were banned.
English only in the Public Chat(s). This is purely to ensure all staff members can moderate what is being said. You're more than free to use a language of your choice inside private chats, such as, but not limited to, /msg.
Do not discuss sensitive things. Do not discuss things that will create an uncomfortable environment. For example, religion, politics and trauma.
Do not excessively swear. You are also not allowed to swear at another player. Swearing must also not break other rules of ours.
Do not impersonate anyone. Refrain from impersonating as someone else. Regardless of rank.
Do not Dox/DDos. This includes, calling someone by their real name without their full consent, or simply telling others it. This also includes discussing Doxing or DDoSing.

GAMEPLAY- RULES

Do not Xray. Do not use or abuse any form of Xray method. For example, Xray Texture Pack, Xray Glitches(vanilla or otherwise). Those who are caught xraying will have their inventory and balance deleted.
Do not Cheat/Hack. Do not use hacked clients. Do not use or abuse methods that grant advantages over other members.
Do not grief. If it is not yours, do not touch it. If you do not have explicit permission from a builds/lands owner, do not touch it. This rule is also applied for unclaimed areas. Failure to replant a farm that isn't yours is considered griefing. Ensure you do not let wither(s) run loose.
Do not steal. Stealing is completely disallowed. If it is not yours, do not take it. If you do not have permission to take it, then don't take it. Stealing is also applied to builds, land, and entities.
Do not excessively claim. All claims created must have a purpose. If you're claiming just to claim, don't. You must be actively using a claimed area or it'll be removed.
Do not build inappropriately. For example, something racist or genitals. Any builds deemed as such by staff will be removed, without resources being given back.
Do not dupe. Duping of any kind is not allowed. This includes vanilla methods.
Do not build 0-tick farms. Do not build these, or anything similar.
Do not PVP Bypass. PVP is only enabled in the server's official PVP Arena. PVP Will be disabled elsewhere. Finding a way to bypass this, and or trying to kill another user in anyway is not allowed. This includes traps of any kind.
Do not attempt/successfully access forbidden areas. If you have been banned from a player warp, if an area is enclosed, or if an area is obviously not for public use, refrain from entering it.
Do not use alternate accounts. Usages of alts are not allowed under any circumstances. If a staff member has an alt, it's purely to ensure they're actively playing legit, and or it's for official testing of features. All staff alt accounts are clearly marked with the 🛠️ icon in the tablist/above their name.

EXTRA RULES

Do not loophole our rules. This also includes edging our server rules. If you're here to make lives harder, you will be removed.
Server Disrespect is not tolerated. If you do not like the server, you are not being forced to play. Constructive criticism is warranted, but it must be done in an appropriate way.

CLAIMING RULES

Do not build too close to another player's claim. Do not build within 200 blocks of another player's claim.
No more than 45 claims. This includes having someone claim something for you once your limit is maxed out.
Refrain from having pointless/unused claims. This is a public server. We need to ensure there's enough space for players to comfortably use and expand. Claims must be used pretty much right after being claimed. Refrain from saving claims for later use.
Do not claim more vanilla structures than you need. This includes claiming to sell, or to simply prevent others from having it.
Refrain from abusing claim ownership. If a claim owner creates a subdivision claim, and kicks a trusted player for any reason other than inactivity or breaking claim/server rules, they must give the resident 1 weeks notice to allow them to gather their items. Make sure to keep proof of notice to prevent further issues. If a player is kicked from a claim due to inactivity, they need to be offline for more than 30 days. After that, the items can be kept by the claim owner. Do not invite players to your claim(s) and kick them once they store loot.
